OPEN THEATRE AUDITIONS HELD AT GLENDALE COLLEGE

Open auditions will be held for the Glendale Community College Theatre Arts Department fall productions at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27 and Thursday, Aug. 28 in the Auditorium.
The fall production will be three absurdist plays performed in mixed repertory on two stages beginning Oct. 9. The plays are “Play” by Samuel Beckett, “Action” by Sam Shepard and Eugene Ionesco’s “The Bald Soprano.”
Those interested in auditioning should prepare a one- to two-minute contemporary monologue. Actors may pick either date to audition. If needed, call backs will be on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m.
All cast members must enroll in theatre arts workshops in the fall semester. The required courses are Theatre Arts 163 – Rehearsal and Performance in Contemporary Theatre Production or Theatre Arts 129 – Backstage Lab for Performers.
