A Celebration of Black History

Join us for a night to remember as we head into the historic West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles at Café Club Fais Do Do to host our annual celebration of Black History. We will pay
special tribute to Black Female Vocalists with a vibrantly rich performance headlined by Tina Meeks and a four-piece band. Dr. Claudia Shields will narrate your journey through classics that have seamlessly been woven into the musical fabric of America. Enjoy scrumptious soul food that will tickle your taste buds while you dance to the music made famous by the work of Leontyne Price, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Beyoncé, Nina Simone, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys
and many more. It will be a night to remember. Join us and enjoy the soundtrack of our lives with the Soul Divas!

Tina Meeks, vocalist, is a soul-stirring songstress. Ms. Meeks has been a featured soloist at Madison Square Garden with Lionel Hampton and his band and she has traveled throughout the U.S., Europe and the Middle East inspiring audiences with her vocal talent

Mikal Majeed, keyboardist, has played with Gladys Knight Stemsy Hunter, sax, has played with Jimi Hendrix

Wil Brooks, drummer, has played with R&B artist Wilson Pickett

Kaleem Ali, guitarist, son of the original guitarist on Motown hit “Papa was a Rolling Stone” originally performed by The Temptations
