ART 138 - 3D DESIGN
A study of space and form relationships expressed three-dimensionally in line, plane, volume, texture and color. Materials fee $15. Recommended preparation: ART 130.

ART 180 - SCULPTURE I
Presents a series of sculptural problems in relief and in the round to lead the student through investigations of various media and techniques. Materials fee $20. Recommended preparation: ART 130 & 138.

ART 181 - SCULPTURE II
A continuation of ART 180 which allows the student to explore complex problems in three-dimensional art. Materials fee $20. Prerequisite: ART 180.

ART 240 - INTRODUCTION TO JEWELRY
An introduction to fundamental jewelry and metalsmithing techniques and materials with emphasis on design, fabrication, forming and casting. Techniques include: piercing, soldering, finishes, patinas, bezel setting stones and lost wax casting. Materials fee $25. Recommended preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 120 or ESL 151.

ART 241 - INTERMEDIATE JEWELRY
A continued study in the fundamentals of jewelry and metalsmithing. Students will gain greater proficiency in fabrication, forming and casting while exploring articulated and embellished forms. Class experience will cover jewelry concepts, design, production and presentation. Materials fee $25. Prerequisite: ART 240 or equivalent.

ART 285 - SCULPTURE LAB
Non-Degree Applicable
Offers students additional supervised studio time and the opportunity to further develop tool operating skills. Concurrent enrollment in another sculpture class is required and a separate project must be completed for this course. Co-requisite: Students must be enrolled in ART 138, 180 181, 282, 283 or 284 at Glendale Community College.

ART 288 - 3D DESIGN LAB
Non-Degree Applicable
Enables 3D design students to have additional supervised studio time and to increase their laboratory skills relative to concurrent enrollment in 3D design classes. Co-requisite: Students must be enrolled in ART 138.

OPEN LAB time will be scheduled to provide students with additional studio hours to work on class assignments.
