Dr. ViarMessage from the Superintendent / President

Glendale Community College recognizes intercollegiate athletics is an integral component of our educational mission. That is because we know athletics provide full-time students distinct student success learning communities (teams) that enhance the student athletes’ abilities to achieve an associate degree, transfer to a university, and success in a career. Participation in athletics helps develop later life success qualities of leadership, teamwork, cooperation, confidence, discipline, responsibility, good health, and character.

At GCC, you will find a good mix of athletic program offerings from which to choose. These are led by coaches who understand and fulfill their roles as teachers and mentors focused on success of their student athletes.

By statewide student success accountability data, GCC is ranked at the top of the 14 community colleges in the Greater Los Angeles Region. With our outstanding faculty and staff we will help you achieve your educational and career goals. We welcome you to become a part of the GCC tradition of excellence and to join our winning team.
