Dylan Kim - 2007
Dylan Kim played for Glendale Community College both in 2005, and 2007. In 2005 Dylan helped lead the Vaqueros to a Western State Conference title, and finals in the Regional Playoffs for team. In 2007 Dylan came back to Glendale College where he won both Regionals, and State singles titles making him the first person to win a state singles title in Glendale College history. Dylan complied a 36-1 record throughout his year while playing number 1 singles, and ended the year being the number 1 player ranked in the state. Dylan Kim was also honored as an ITA-All American in singles. After graduating Glendale College Dylan went to purse a career in the professional circuit where he was able to reach a singles ranking of 657.
Alexander Sarkissian - 2011
Alexander Sarkissian's 2011 season can argueable be on of the best seasons any player has ever had in the state of California. During his run he went undefeated in singles play winning 35-0 in matches, and 70-0 in sets won. He became the first man in Glendale College history to win the Ojai trophy not only in singles, but in doubles with Trevor Campbell. Alex also won the the singles regional title and was runnerup in the finals of doubles in regionals. Alex went on to win the state singles title, and was a semifinalist in doubles with Trevor Campbell. Alex was also awarded player of the month for Febuary for his outstanding achievements. In June of 2011 Alex Sarkissian was awarded the ITA National All Star Player of the Year award and was the first player in California Community College history to win the award. After graduating from Glendale Community College, Alex received a scholarship to play for Pepperdine University where he will continue his tennis career.
