Makeup Exams
GCC students must make the necessary arrangements with the instructor before taking their exam at the Assessment Center. The instructor must fill out the Makeup Exam form and drop off the test in person at the Assessment Center. Students must make an appointment at the Assessment Center or by calling 818-240-1000 x5329. Students cannot take their makeup test without an appointment and photo I.D.    


CLEP (College Level Examination Program)

Non GCC Students
CLEP offers students the opportunity to demonstrate college-level knowledge by earning a passing score on any of 34 examinations. Students can earn from 3 to 12 credits, depending on their colleges'/universities' CLEP policies, for each exam they pass.

GCC Students only
Glendale Community College grants credit for some of the various subject examinations to Glendale Community College students who have completed 12 or more semester units in residence at Glendale Community College with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0.

MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) Certification

Individuals interested in taking Microsoft Office Specialist certification exams should contact the Assessment Center  (818) 240-1000 x5332 for information, fees, and availability dates.


Proctoring Services

The Assessment Center will proctor exams for students form other colleges or universities, etc. Please contact the Assessment Center  (818) 240-1000 x5332 for information, fees, and availability dates.


TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Individuals interested in taking TOEFL exam should visit the TOEFL website for information, fees, and availability dates. 


Wonderlic (Ability to Benefit)
or CELSA (ESL Version)
Students need to contact the Financial Aid Office for necessary paperwork for this exam. The Wonderlic is given twice a month by appointment only. Please allow 1.5 hours for this exam. All results will be handled by the Financial Aid Office.


LOCATION
The Assessment Center is located in the San Fernando Complex room SF 112.
