Join GCC Professors Eric Johnston and Roger Bowerman in Greece as they set out to explore this rich treasure trove of history. After arriving in Athens and spending a few days in this bustling city, we will explore the archeological sites and mythological roots of the Greek mainland and Peloponnese as we visit the historical sites of Delphi, Olympia, Mycenae, Epidaurus, and Tiryns. We will then move on to the islands: Crete, Santorini, and Paros where we will enjoy the history, culture, and beaches of these beautiful and distinct places. History and literature will come alive as Professors Johnston and Bowerman lead you and your fellow classmates across this amazing land!
Students must enroll in both Introduction to Archeology (Anthropology 103) and World Mythologies (Humanities 115).
Price includes round-trip airfare, accommodations in 3 star hotels, guided tours throughout, ground and inter-island transportation, and daily breakfasts. Price does not include taxes, insurance, GCC fees and gratuities.
