UC Berkeley There are four biology majors offered: 1. Integrative Biology, BA Note: Effective Fall 2012 AP Scores for Biology and Math will not satisfy the integrative Biology major prerequisites. BIOL 101 and 102 It is required that students also complete the entire organic chemistry sequence prior to transfer. CHEM 101, 105, 106 Although this major requires only one semester of calculus, it is strongly recommended that students continue with the sequence, particularly if they intend to pursue studies in graduate or professional school. MATH 103 It is required that students complete the entire physics sequence prior to transfer. PHYS 101, 102
2. Molecular & Cell Biology, BA BIOL 101 and 102 CHEM 101, 102, 105, 106 MATH 103, 104 You are advisied to complete the entire year prior to tranfer PHYS 101, 102 and 103
3. Microbial Biology, BS Although IGETC is not required, certification will fulfill requirements for English R1A, English R1B and all Humanities and Social Sciences breadth courses. BIO 101 and 102 CHEM 101, 105, 106 MATH 103, 104, 136 PHYS 101 ENGL 101, 102 Humanities and Social Science At least 15 semester units of UC-transferable courses from fields such as economics, history, philosophy, art, music, political science, and/or foreign language (a maximum of 6 units allowed).
3. Molecular & Environmental Biology, BS IGETC certification satisfies the Reading and Composition Requirement. Additional course work is necessary to satisfy major requirements. ENGL 101, 102 BIOL 101 and 102 CHEM 101, 105, 106 MATH 103, 104 PHYS 101, 102 and 103 one UC transferable course in Humanities one UC transferable course in Social and Behavior Science

UC Santa Barbara Biological Sciences BA & BS A cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better in the required courses listed above. For students to graduate within two years of transferring we strongly recommend the completion of one year of organic chemistry with laboratory, one year of general physics with laboratory, and one year of calculus or calculus with statistics. Any of these courses completed with a grade lower than "C" might not satisfy course prerequisites at UCSB. BIO 101 and 102 CHEM 101 and 102, CHEM 105 and 106 (No upper division credit.) MATH 103 and 104 or 112 MATH 136 or 107 and 108 PHYS 105 and 106
UC Los Angeles THIS MAJOR IS HIGHLY SELECTIVE NOTE: It is recommended that you complete Physics at UCLA after you transfer. BIOL 101and 102, 103 CHEM 101and 102 CHEM 105 and 106 MATH 103 and 104, 136 PHYS 101and 102 and 103
UC Riverside Biology BA/BS, Biological Sciences BS Cell, Molecular and Developmental Bilology BA/BS This major also requires a grade point average of at least 2.70 in all UC transferable course work. The IGETC is not accepted for majors housed in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. BIOL 101 and 102 MATH 103 and 104 PHYS 101 and 102 and 103 CHEM 101 and 102, CHEM 105 and 106 Note: Students pursuing a B.A. degree in Biology oe Cell, Molecuar and Developmental Biology will also need to complete the equivalent of 4th quarter proficiency (generally third semester) in a language other than English, as part of the breadth requirements for this degree.
UC Irvine Biological Sciences Junior-level applicants with the highest grades overall and who have satisfactorily completed course prerequisites will be given preference for admissions. All applicants must complete one year of general chemistry (with laboratory) with grades of B or better, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. BIO 101, 102 CHEM 101 and 102, 105 and 106 PHYS 101 and 102 or 101 and 103 Students have to options for completing the Mathematics requirements before enrolling at UCI: 1, Two semesters of Calculus or 2. One semester of Calculus and one semester of Statistics Option 2 is recommended for students who would like to attend a medical professional school. MATH 103 ,104, or 136 or 105 or 107
UC San Diego All Biology majors are impacted Biology - General Human Biology Molecular Biology Physiology and Neuroscience Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution Transfer students are strongly advised to complete as many preparatory courses as soon as possible for their major before enrolling at UC San Diego. Preparing well for the major helps students move efficiently toward graduation.
Beginning Fall 2011 for all transfer students: a student must indicate via the UC application that they want to be considered for admittance to a biology major at UC San Diego. If a student is not admitted to a biology major, they could be admitted to UC San Diego in a second choice major. For more information visit www.biology.ucsd.edu .
