ENJOY A DAY AWAY – SINGLE DAY TOURS OFFERED THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICES EDUCATION

No driving, no parking – no hassle! Simply board our deluxe air conditioned motor coach, sit back and enjoy visiting interesting So Cal sites while under the guidance of a professional tour director. All trips depart from Glendale College upper parking lot. Parking permit required ($3 per day). Saturday, November 1: Julian Gold & Apple Pie with Optional Gold Mine Tour
Julian is an early 1900’s mining town known for clean air, fresh apple pie, and unique boutiques. Enjoy time on your own for shopping and lunch. Or, after lunch on your own, partake in an optional 60 minute gold mine tour (additional $10 per person payable day of tour) that is led by an informative guide and takes you deep into the gold mine to lear the history of the mines and how they work.

Thursday, November 13: L.A. Subway Tour with L.A. Guide Johnathon
Travel aboard the L.A. Metro Line to discover fascinating hidden art ,sites and treasures in and near the subway stations. We’ll motorcoach to North Hollywood to start our adventure aboard the Red Line; as we ride the subway toward downtown, we’ll make several stops at various stations. Each station is decorated uniquely to reflect a different aspect of L.A. history and culture. We will stop during the tour for lunch on your own.

Saturday, December 6: Solvang Danish “Christmas”
There’s nothing like Christmas in Solvang. The town is a page from Hans Christian Andersen, complete with all the sights, sounds, and delicious food aromas of a true Danish village. Delight in the traditional architecture, windmills, gaslights and cobblestone walks, all beautifully decorated for Christmas. Find everything from hand-crafted furniture to fresh baked bread. The town will be filled with singers, dancers, storytellers, and crafts. We arrive in time to see the Julefest Christmas parad! Browse the town and enjoy lunch at your leisure.
